Starting the week on a high note!

Ahhh, Sunday afternoon. Time to stretch out and have some fun. Hopefully your week started as well as mine did.

Showing more balance!

See how I sit up! I do pretty well to start. Then I kind of lose my balance. But I correct myself. But I eventually fall over. Don't worry, mommy and daddy put down some nice rubber play mats to help cushion even more than the carpet. Then when I fall over, I get my chance to motor around by rolling! I'm a good roller!

Yep! I'm a redneck in training...

See how I lean out to the left; I'm practicing for when I'm able to drive later on in life. Gotta be able to hang out the window when you're out on them country roads! I must have picked up a little something while watching the NASCAR race with daddy last night. We didn't watch the whole thing because I got sleepy and it was on late; but I got the general gist of the good ole boy thing. But the real dead giveaway is those UK blue socks; only a true redneck would wear some of those...

(pix taken 04/22/07)

Am I really a redneck?

Just because I live in south Georgia, wear UK blue, and go shopping at Wal-Mart, that doesn't make me a redneck does it? I mean, does a redneck have this cool cover for the shopping cart? As you can see, my ability to sit up is getting better every day. I even sat in a restaurant high chair the whole time mommy and daddy had dinner yesterday! Of course, they did have to fill in the gaps with a cushion to that I didn't slide down onto my back; I'm not so good with the slick wood just yet. Give me time though.

Chillin' with the mice.

Check me out chillin' with the mice on my pj's feet. I think I like the duckies a little better. Yesterday (from when picture taken) was mommy's birthday so I was a good boy the whole day! Of course, I'm a good boy every day. Everybody who meets me tells me what a good baby I am (and cute); I'm so calm and quiet. But that's because mommy or daddy is holding me; as long as I'm getting the attention I am due, I am cool as a cucumber.

Sitting in my high chair!

Got to try out my high chair today for a fine dining experience. As you can see, I really like to eat! I also had fun rolling around on the floor and playing with my elephants. I pick them up and swing them around then look and play with them; it's really fun! Well, that's about all for today.

Sitting Up!

I'm getting better with my coordination. I can now kind of sit up; of course, I need a little help getting there. It's not easy lifting 20 lbs of rock hard muscle like I've got when your muscles aren't quite finely tuned. But I'm getting there. I also like to roll around a lot on the floor. But I'm only good at going one way. I guess I'm not going to be ambidextrous.

I also got to try fruit for the first time today. Mommy fed me some banana with my rice cereal. I'm getting good with my solid food. Pretty soon I'll be eating hot wings with daddy!

Big time bathtub!

Mommy said I was getting too big for my old bathtub and I would splash out all the water. So mommy and daddy bought me a nice, big new one that I can use for a while. It sure is nice taking a bath!

Big Day!

Yesterday was a big day. First I tried out big boy shoes for the first time. I was already too big for two pairs, including the pair with flashing lights, that mommy and daddy bought me months ago! Of course, I had to try standing up again; and I did well with a little help from daddy. My legs are getting stronger and my balance is getting better.

Then mommy decided to try to feed me big boy food. I did pretty well, even though I didn't eat that much. After a few bites, I started to make a funny face after swallowing it. The taste takes some getting used to. Today I ate some more and did just well with no faces. Mommy says tomorrow I get to try it twice in a day.

Wearing my duckies!

Check out my ducky PJs!

Nobody knows how to wear styling clothes like I do. I got worn out again yesterday. First we went with mommy for her driving test for her GA driving license. She passed and the lady said she did well - of course, the lady loved me as well. Then mommy and daddy had to do a little shopping so I slept a little in the car, but didn't get a real good nap. By the time we got home I was ready for bed. I didn't sleep as well in my crib because it was cooler last night than normal; it should just be a couple of days though before it warms back up. Daddy said he's going to let me watch the Masters on TV today and tomorrow. Well that's all for today!

5 months old today.

I'm five months old today! I've been a little fussy the last couple of days; it might be because mommy and daddy wore me out on Friday and Saturday and I didn't get enough rest. You know how babies love to sleep (and eat). Mommy took a picture of me imitating her when she does leg lifts. Check out the form!

Preparing for my summer trip.

We're going to Thailand in July so I need a passport. Daddy decided to try taking a picture that we could use for my passport application. As you can see, his work was far from professional. He finally decided to just go to the professionals and pay for their expertise and time.

Sleeping time.

Did you know I finally graduated to the crib? I decided it was finally time to grow up and be a big boy now that it's getting warmer in the house - the crib was too cold for me before. Of course, that's only during the night. During the day, I still like sleeping on someone's warm belly.

Face plant.

I may be able to get my head up, but I do get tired after a while. I can't believe mommy took this picture of me.

pic taken 03/21/07

Coordination!

See. I'm getting good at holding my head up. It's hard to show me rolling over in a picture, but I like doing that as well.

Sky Monkey!

Daddy is helping me demonstrate my "sky monkey" routine. I really like getting picked up and held high.

St. Patty's Day wear.

Here's me and daddy in our St. Patty's Day duds and hats. Since the dew-rag was such a hit the day before I decided to wear it again and see how many chicks I could pick up.

Getting ready for St. Patrick's Day.

Here I am with mommy and daddy as we head down to the Savannah River the day before St. Patty's Day. That's a pretty big holiday here in Savannah. Everyone loved me in my shamrock dew-rag.

Still fit in the bouncy seat.

I may be getting older, but I still like to hang out in the bouncy seat, relax, and watch Barney and Friends. Daddy says that's ok, just as long as I don't get started on Teletubbies.

pic taken 03/03/07

Quite a handful.

As you can see, I've turned into quite a handful!

Since I'm getting bigger, it's time to try out my coordination.

I'm also turning into quite the conversationalist.

pic taken 03/02/07

Trying out the new kicks.

Decided to try out some new shoes. It'll probably be about the only time mommy lets me wear shoes in the bed.

pic taken 02/11/07

Chrismas redux.

Daddy seems to think I'm an elf with that hat. I'm not sure why daddy is always wearing that shirt in my pictures. Maybe it's because mommy has stolen all his other t-shirts. As you can tell, I was really enthused for that picture. It's a good thing I'm so photogenic.

pic taken 02/04/07

Getting older.

As I get older, I like looking out at people as we're walking around. Here's me trying out my sling with daddy. Mommy usually wants to carry me around, she doesn't trust daddy.

pic taken 02/02/07

Watchin' hoops.

As I get older, the TV is able to capture my attention. I really seem to like basketball, especially if GT is playing. Go Jackets!

pic taken 02/02/07

Fan ware that's a little more normal.

With football season over, it was time to get on to GT hoops. They had an up and down season, but the future could be bright (especially when I show up to play there in about 18 years).

pic taken 02/02/07

Worn out.

Sometimes I like to rest on that big ole tummy. It sure is soft.

pic taken 01/19/07

Watchin' football with daddy.

Daddy's trying to interest me in football. The Cowboys were a bit of a let down in the playoffs, but we're hoping they bounce back in the future.

pic taken 01/13/07

Chillin' time.

Sometimes I like to just chill out in my bouncy seat. I'm trying to match De Niro's ability to look serious.

pic taken 01/02/07

Starting to have some fun.

Got to hang out in the boppy today and have a little play time. Sometimes simple things can be so fun!

pic taken 01/02/07

Christmastime!

Christmas rolled around, and somebody got me a santa suit! I had a good time with Christmas as you can see...

And I had some fun with my Pooh toy!

pic taken 12/03/06

Meditation time.

Maybe when grandad was here, his frequent meditations rubbed off on me and I wanted to do the same.

pic taken 11/27/07

Of course, daddy's a little crazy...

Daddy might be ok, but he took advantage of the fact that I can't dress myself to put me in this fuzzy costume that resembles a yellow jacket. You see, daddy went to Georgia Tech and luvs the yellow jackets. I guess I'm gonna grow up to be a yellow jacket fan too. It's gonna be hard though, because Savannah is full of people who pull for those sorry Georgia Bullpups.

pic taken 11/26/06

I learned that daddy's actually ok.

I finally came around and saw that daddy was an ok kind of guy.

pic taken 11/13/06

Not a happy camper.

Here's me when it was time for daddy to help out. I wasn't exactly the happiest guy around. Notice the nice balloons in the corner that Paul, Susan, and Geneva got me.

pic taken 11/07/06

Back at the ranch.

After a couple of days I got to go home. I was still worn out and wanted to sleep with mommy. She was worn out too since she had to get a c-section for me 'cause I was so big.

pic taken 11/05/06

I finally made it out!

Here's me in the hospital after I was born, weighing in at 9 lbs 1.6 oz. I was worn out!

pic taken 11/02/06

Still in the womb

Here's another shot of me in the womb. If you look closely you'll see I'm already a good lookin' guy.
