Let down by my government! :(((

I'm too sad to post a picture today. We were supposed to be on our way to Thailand today; but I never got my passport. I guess 13 weeks is not enough time for processing even though they said up to 10 weeks when we applied (so we were told expedited handling was not needed) and their web site stills says 10-12 weeks to get a passport.

Family reunion!

The next day in Chicago we had a family reunion where everyone got together and reminisced. Then it was picture time. You can see me with my cousins Matthew, Stephanie, Will, Maia Saule, and Bodhi; and aunt Andi was too slow to get out of the way - I guess she's just getting old! Then we went to my cousin Tony's house for dinner. I had a lot of fun playing in Stephanie's saucer! I was so cute my great-aunt Pat gave me a kiss; but I couldn't get one from her husband George. I guess Packer fans just don't like cute babies!

Uncle Jerry made me cry! :(

As you can see I was having a good time the rest of the day in Chicago. I was the life of the party when mommy and daddy had lunch. And grandma was having a good time playing with me. Then we went to the pool where Uncle Jerry splashed me and made me scared of the water, even when daddy tried going swimming with me later! Of well, what do you expect from a Yankees fan!

Babyzilla takes on Chicago!

The next day in Chicago we went to the Sears Tower Skydeck on the 103rd floor. It was way up high! As you can see, I showed off the basketball skills I inherited from daddy by showing Michael Jordan who the man is. I figured grandma and grandad wanted to see me with the Blues Brothers as well. If you look closely in the picture with mommy I'm elbowing Soldier Field because we know the Bears aren't any good (side note, we saw Brian Urlacher of the Bears at the check-in counter when we left on Sunday). And of course, I had to pull baby Godzilla on the Sears Tower!

My first trip and meeting some new relatives!

Last weekend I took my first trip in an airplane. On both flights I was so good that people said I was the best baby they'd ever seen on a plane! As you can see, daddy took really good care of me and kept me sleeping well. The first day in Chicagoland I met my great-aunt Joann and great-uncle Don their daughter Jill and her family.

Happy (late) Father's Day!

Sorry I'm late in wishing all the dads and grandads a Happy Father's Day. I got kind of worn out that day; I was so excited for my daddy's first Father's Day that I woke up really early to give him my best. Then what does he do; goes and gets me a play-yard to keep me fenced in so I can't get into too much trouble.

My first tooth finally poked through a few days ago and the next one should come out any day now. With that first tooth out I've been sleeping better.

We go to Chicago on Thursday and I get to take my first plane ride! Then we go to Thailand the next weekend! Hopefully I'll be able to get lots of pix and vids for you to enjoy.

Baby beach bum!

I finally made it to the beach! The weather was nice and hot, just perfect for beachgoing. I got to hang with my friend Geneva and her parents Susan and Paul as well. We had a good time! As you can see from the videos below, she's got a little more coordination than I do. It's because she's got a couple of months on me and I opted to try to match my daddy's size and appetite. I tried going in the water but didn't care for it too much. It was a bit cooler than my bath water at home and it made me uncomfortable. I might try the water again when we go to Thailand and then here once we get back in July; it should be warmer and more comfortable in July and August.

Daddy says they say the camera adds 10 pounds but mommy must have picked out one that adds twenty and makes people do crazy things like eat sand!

Baby Kilroy!

As you can see, I can kind of pull up on the side of the crib and do a good Kilroy impression! I need to do that in order to get a good view of Barney; otherwise that bar is just in the way. I'm mesmerized by that purple dinosaur!

Seven months old!

You know, sucking your thumb is so cliched; I'm working on my mastery of toe sucking! I'm also working on my flexibility and leg lifts so I won't be creaky like daddy. Of course, being flexible means I can sometimes get myself wrapped up in things!

Spying time!

I may not be able to crawl yet, but I can roll and pivot enough to move around fairly well. I'm so good, I can slide over and peek through the gap between the chairs to check out mommy and daddy when they're in the kitchen and I get tired of playing with my toys. I'm practicing my spying skills, you can call me "Bond, Baby Bond."
