The Jacksonville zoo!

On the way back from KSC, we stopped at the zoo in Jacksonville! We saw all sorts of animals. I really liked the big cats. I saw some lions! And the jaguars were pretty cool also! I stuck around their cage for a while. There was also a really cool playground with a huge bird's nest and lots of things to climb on to allow me to express my inner monkey. There was even a nice carousel! I can't wait to go back!

Space Center!

We went to the Kennedy Space Center in an endeavor to see the space shuttle Endeavour launch. Unfortunately, the night before there was a wicked storm with several lightning strikes in the area so they had to check the shuttle for damage and the launch was postponed. We decided not to stay another day to see if it would go, and that was a good decision! It wasn't until several days later that liftoff occurred. Daddy recorded it on the DVR and I've watched the liftoff dozens of times now! I really like watching rockets take off!

While we were there, I got to see lots of other rockets on display, and a cool rock sphere floating in water that you can push around! There was a lot of stuff to do there, so I'll probably go back when I'm a bit older.
